Mumbai, June 13: Rappid Valves (India) Ltd has secured an order worth ₹18.05 crore (excluding taxes) from state-owned engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) for the supply of valves and components for the Indian Navy’s Five Fleet Support Ships (FSS) programme.
According to a regulatory filing, the order has been awarded by BHEL and involves the supply of critical valves and related components required for the Navy’s fleet support vessels.
The company said the execution timeline for the order spans multiple years. Supplies for three of the ships are expected to be completed within approximately one year, while deliveries for the remaining two vessels are scheduled to be completed by FY2027-28. The order, valued at ₹18.05 crore, was received in the normal course of business and does not involve any related-party transactions, the company said.
The contract further strengthens Rappid Valves’ presence in the defence and marine segment, where demand for specialised flow-control equipment has been rising in line with the government’s push for indigenous manufacturing and naval modernisation.
The Indian Navy’s Fleet Support Ships programme is aimed at enhancing the force’s logistical and replenishment capabilities, enabling sustained operations of naval assets over extended durations.
The latest order adds to the company’s order book and underscores its capabilities in supplying engineered valves and components for strategic defence applications.
