RateGain Acquires Sojern in $250 Million Deal to Strengthen AI Capabilities in Hospitality Tech

RateGain Travel Technologies Limited, a leading global provider of AI-powered SaaS solutions for the travel and hospitality industry, announced that its wholly owned UK subsidiary has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sojern Inc., a prominent US-based AI-driven MarTech company specializing in the hospitality sector.

The $250 million transaction, to be funded through a combination of RateGain’s internal cash reserves and debt, marks a major milestone in RateGain’s AI-first growth strategy. The acquisition is aimed at creating a unified platform that helps hotels acquire, engage, and retain guests while increasing their overall wallet share.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in the United States, Sojern serves over 13,000 customers worldwide, including hotels, destinations, attractions, and corporate clients. The company generated $172.2 million in gross revenue in 2024. Its expertise in demand generation and MarTech solutions will complement RateGain’s strengths in distribution, analytics, and revenue optimization, enhancing the combined company’s ability to deliver a broader suite of AI-driven solutions to the global hospitality industry.

The integration of Sojern’s capabilities is expected to enable RateGain to better serve both large hotel chains and small-to-medium-sized hospitality businesses, offering advanced, cost-efficient, and data-driven marketing tools that enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.
