Pace Digitek Limited has secured Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply, erection and long-term operations & maintenance contracts from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for a 250 MW / 500 MWh energy storage project at Maithon in Jharkhand. The combined value of the contracts stands at ₹7,020 million, or approximately ₹702 crore, including GST.
The project scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing-linked supply, installation, testing, commissioning and a 12-year comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement. The contract also covers associated civil, structural and power evacuation infrastructure works.
According to the company, the project will be executed over an 18-month period for supply and EPC activities, followed by long-term maintenance support.
The order marks Pace Digitek Limited’s first BESS contract win for FY2027 and builds on the company’s strong FY2026 momentum, during which it reported energy-sector order inflows of ₹5,814.7 crore, driven largely by growth in battery storage and renewable energy opportunities.
Commenting on the development, Venugopal Rao Maddisetty said the order reinforces the company’s position in utility-scale energy storage and validates its integrated business model spanning manufacturing, EPC execution and lifecycle services.
The company stated that its manufacturing-led execution strategy enables tighter cost control, improved execution timelines and scalable deployment capabilities in the fast-growing utility-scale storage market.
Following the latest win, Pace Digitek’s cumulative BESS project portfolio has expanded to more than 5 GWh, covering utility-scale storage, renewable integration and grid-support applications.
