Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), a leading infrastructure and civil engineering company, has been awarded a major urban infrastructure contract valued at ₹1,318.89 crore by the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO). The project involves the construction of the Kondhane Dam and its allied works using advanced Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) technology.
Located in Kondhane village, Karjat Taluka, Raigad district, Maharashtra, the project is slated for completion within 42 months. It includes comprehensive civil, hydro-mechanical, and electrical works. The dam will span a length of 1,209 meters and rise to a height of 83 meters. Scope of work also includes installation of three radial gates, gate control systems (both electrical and manual), and other associated electrification efforts.
Patel Engineering had earlier emerged as the L1 (lowest bidder) for the project, affirming its cost competitiveness and technical expertise in handling large-scale infrastructure works.
