Vibhor Steel Tubes Strengthens Product Portfolio and Market Reach with New Odisha Greenfield Plant

Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL), a leading manufacturer of electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes, galvanized pipes, hollow sections, and stainless-steel pipes, has expanded its production capabilities with the commencement of supplies from its new greenfield facility in Sundargarh, Odisha. The company recently began delivering crash barriers, Power Transmission Line Towers, ERW pipes and GI pipes produced at the plant, marking a significant enhancement of its value-added product portfolio.

The Odisha facility, with an installed capacity of 156,000 MTPA, began commercial production in June 2025 and represents a total investment of ₹119.83 crore. The plant is designed to cater to fast-growing segments such as road safety infrastructure, power transmission, and urban lighting. Apart from crash barriers and towers, it also manufactures high mast lighting poles, octagonal poles and monopoles, further widening the company’s offerings in the infrastructure sector.

VSTL operates under a long-standing contract manufacturing agreement with Jindal Pipes Ltd, producing and supplying finished goods under the Jindal Star brand. This partnership currently contributes over 80% of the company’s total turnover, reflecting its importance in VSTL’s operational and financial performance.

Beyond the new Odisha plant, the company runs two additional manufacturing facilities—one in Raigad, Maharashtra, which handles all export operations, and another in Mahbubnagar, Telangana. Together, these plants contribute to VSTL’s total installed capacity of 2,21,000 MTPA and enable the company to serve key markets across western and southern India, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

With expanded capacity, a broader range of value-added products and strengthened regional distribution, Vibhor Steel Tubes is well positioned to tap into the growing demand for steel infrastructure components across India’s construction, energy and industrial sectors.
