Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL), a Haryana-based manufacturer of high-quality steel tubes and pipes, has commenced supply of Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) and Galvanized Iron (GI) pipes from its newly commissioned greenfield facility at Sundargarh, Odisha.

The plant, which began commercial production in July 2025, has an installed capacity of 1.56 lakh metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) and was developed with an investment of ₹119.83 crore over 30 months. Spread across 23.98 acres, the unit is equipped to produce a range of value-added steel products, including crash barriers, power transmission line towers, high mast lighting poles, octagonal poles and monopoles.

With the commissioning of the Odisha facility, Vibhor Steel’s total installed capacity has risen to 3.77 lakh MTPA across three plants located in Maharashtra, Telangana and Odisha.

Commenting on the milestone, Vijay Kaushik, Chairman and Executive Director of Vibhor Steel Tubes, said:
“The commencement of supply from our Sundargarh facility marks a significant step in strengthening our production and distribution capabilities. The state-of-the-art unit will enhance our ability to serve customers more efficiently while enabling us to expand into newer markets, including exports. The focus on high value-added products is expected to significantly boost margins and drive growth in the coming quarters.”

VSTL manufactures a diversified range of steel products, including ERW pipes, hot-dipped galvanized pipes, hollow section pipes and primer-painted pipes. The company has a contract manufacturing agreement with Jindal Pipes to supply finished goods under the “Jindal Star” brand, which contributes over 80% of its revenue.

Management said the Odisha plant’s commissioning and the strategic shift towards value-added products are expected to drive both topline and bottomline growth going forward.
