Shilchar Technologies Limited has announced a major capacity expansion at its existing transformer manufacturing facility in Gavasad, Vadodara, to meet rising customer demand.
According to an exchange filing under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company will add 6,500 MVA of capacity to its plant — on top of its current installed capacity of 7,500 MVA, which is running at 100% utilisation.
The expansion is expected to be completed by April 2027 and will require an investment of approximately ₹90 crore, to be funded entirely from internal accruals.
Shilchar Technologies said the capacity addition is aimed at addressing increasing demand for its products and strengthening its position in the power and distribution transformer market.
This planned expansion underscores Shilchar Technologies’ continued focus on scaling up its manufacturing footprint and enhancing its ability to serve both domestic and international customers.
