Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited (PIGL) (NSE: PIGL | BSE: 543912), one of India’s leading electrical contracting and infrastructure development companies, has announced the receipt of two new work orders from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL), cumulatively valued at ₹102.78 crore, under the Government of India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The contracts, awarded on a turnkey basis, cover the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of materials and equipment for the development of power distribution infrastructure — including the segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders — at Dungarpur and Salumbar Circles of Ajmer Discom in Rajasthan. Both projects are scheduled to be executed within 15 months.
Project Details
Order 1 – Dungarpur Circle
- Contract Value: ₹68.22 crore (including taxes)
- Scope: Supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of distribution infrastructure and segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders.
- Objective: Strengthen load balancing, reduce technical losses, and improve power reliability under the RDSS scheme.
Order 2 – Salumbar Circle
- Contract Value: ₹34.56 crore (including taxes)
- Scope: Supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of distribution infrastructure and segregation of 11 kV mixed feeders.

These two back-to-back wins follow PIGL’s earlier ₹70.55 crore RDSS project from AVVNL in August 2025, bringing the company’s total RDSS order value from Ajmer Discom to over ₹170 crore within the year. The consecutive contracts reflect AVVNL’s strong confidence in PIGL’s technical expertise, execution capability, and proven performance in delivering complex power distribution projects across challenging geographies.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai, Managing Director of Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited, said:
“Securing two more RDSS orders in quick succession from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited is a clear endorsement of our reliability and execution excellence. The projects in Dungarpur and Salumbar are crucial to improving power distribution efficiency and reducing losses in Rajasthan. With these wins, we continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the government’s mission to modernize India’s power distribution infrastructure. Our teams are fully committed to delivering both projects within timelines and to the highest quality standards.”
Through these projects, PIGL aims to contribute meaningfully to the objectives of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, which focuses on strengthening India’s power infrastructure through modernization, loss reduction, and improved service reliability.
