Kotyark Industries secures ₹173.45 crore biodiesel allocation from OMCs

Vadodara, August 12, 2026: Kotyark Industries Limited has secured a biodiesel allocation worth ₹173.45 crore from three state-owned oil marketing companies—Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL).

The allocation follows an OMC tender and covers supplies in Gujarat for the June-August 2026 period. The company said the contracts have an execution period of 92 days from the award of contract, subject to the receipt of requisite indents or supply orders and applicable terms and conditions.

The latest allocation strengthens Kotyark Industries’ participation in the biodiesel supply ecosystem of the country’s major oil marketing companies, as the industry seeks to expand the use of biofuels in line with India’s cleaner-fuel and energy-transition objectives.

Kotyark Industries Chairman and Managing Director Gaurang Rameshchandra Shah said the ₹173.45 crore allocation marks an important milestone for the company and strengthens its engagement with major OMCs.

He said the order provides the company an opportunity to demonstrate its manufacturing capabilities, execution discipline and ability to deliver reliable and quality-driven supplies.

Kotyark said India’s transition towards cleaner fuels and the growing focus on biofuels continue to create opportunities for biodiesel manufacturers. The company expects its expanded manufacturing capacity and flexible multi-feedstock platform to help it cater to OMCs, bulk buyers and industrial customers.

The company operates an integrated manufacturing platform capable of processing around 10-15 different raw materials, including used cooking oil (UCO), acid oils and non-edible oils. The choice of feedstock depends on availability, pricing and procurement economics.

Kotyark has manufacturing facilities in Sirohi, Rajasthan, and Anand, Gujarat. Its operations span biodiesel manufacturing as well as value-added by-products.

The company said it has evolved from a biodiesel trading business into an integrated manufacturing platform focused on renewable energy, sustainability and process efficiency. Its customer base comprises OMCs, bulk buyers and industrial customers, with applications including OMC blending, industrial fuel and other end uses.

The company is also positioning its use of waste-based feedstocks such as UCO and non-edible oils as part of its contribution to the circular economy and renewable-energy transition.

Going forward, Kotyark said it will focus on improving capacity utilisation, maintaining operational efficiency and flexibility, strengthening relationships across customer segments and executing supplies to OMCs in a disciplined manner.

The company said its manufacturing infrastructure and multi-feedstock capabilities will enable it to pursue growth opportunities across the biodiesel value chain.
