DCW Ltd, a leading player in the specialty chemicals and polymers sector, has successfully commissioned the first milestone of its Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) capacity expansion project. The company added 20,000 metric tonnes (MT) of new capacity, taking its total CPVC production capacity to 40,000 MT — a significant increase from its previous 20,000 MT.
The milestone has been achieved ahead of the scheduled completion date of September 30, 2025. With existing capacity already running at 100% utilization, the new capacity is expected to be ramped up immediately. DCW Ltd anticipates that the commercial benefits from the additional production will start reflecting in its financial results beginning this quarter.
The full 30,000 MT capacity expansion project is expected to involve a total investment of ₹140 crore. This expansion is part of a broader capital investment plan announced on October 17, 2024. The company also reaffirmed that the second phase of the project, involving a further 10,000 MT increase in CPVC capacity, is progressing on schedule.
The capacity augmentation supports DCW Ltd’s strategic goal of meeting the rising demand for high-performance CPVC used in applications such as plumbing, industrial piping, and infrastructure. The expansion further reinforces the company’s position as a key supplier in India’s growing specialty chemicals and materials industry.
