Chennai, August 20, 2026: Data Patterns (India) Limited has received an order worth ₹585.76 crore from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the supply of radar electronics, the defence electronics company said in a regulatory filing.
The order is for the procurement and supply of radar electronics and has been awarded by BEL, a domestic entity. The execution timeline will be as specified in the contract, Data Patterns said.
The latest order further strengthens Data Patterns’ order pipeline amid sustained demand for indigenously developed defence electronics and radar systems.
The company also provided an update on its order book following its previous disclosure on July 30, 2026. At that time, Data Patterns had announced an order book of ₹2,654 crore, including orders received and orders negotiated but yet to be received.
Since that announcement, the company has received additional orders worth ₹771.08 crore, including the latest ₹585.76 crore BEL order.
Of the ₹771.08 crore in subsequent orders, ₹745.93 crore had already been included in the ₹2,654 crore order-book figure as orders that had been negotiated but were yet to be formally received.
The remaining ₹25.15 crore represents new orders that were not included in the July 30 order-book announcement.
The latest BEL contract therefore does not translate into a full ₹585.76 crore addition to the previously disclosed order book, as a substantial portion had already been accounted for under negotiated orders.
Data Patterns said neither its promoters, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in BEL. The contract also does not fall under related-party transactions.
The order comes as Data Patterns continues to benefit from increasing localisation in India’s defence electronics sector, with domestic defence manufacturers supplying increasingly sophisticated electronic systems and subsystems to Indian defence companies and government agencies.
Data Patterns is a Chennai-based defence and aerospace electronics company engaged in the design, development and manufacture of electronic systems for defence and aerospace applications, including radar, electronic warfare, communication and avionics systems.
