Hyderabad / San Jose, December 17, 2025: Cyient Semiconductors has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Kinetic Technologies, a global player in power management and high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), for a total consideration of up to $93 million. The acquisition marks a significant step in Cyient Semiconductors’ strategy to build a scaled presence in the $40 billion-plus global power semiconductor market.
The transaction is expected to accelerate Cyient Semiconductors’ growth across high-demand segments such as data centres, electrification, automotive, networking, industrial automation, and the rapidly emerging edge AI and high-performance computing markets.
With this acquisition, Cyient Semiconductors aims to establish an ASIC-led custom power semiconductor platform, combining its strengths in custom silicon design with Kinetic Technologies’ established portfolio of high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs. The combined capabilities are expected to enable faster development of application-specific power solutions addressing power efficiency, thermal management and system reliability challenges in next-generation computing and electronics.
