ACE and Sanghvi Movers Sign Strategic MOU to Promote Indigenous Heavy Cranes

Action Construction Equipment Limited (ACE) and Sanghvi Movers Limited have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand the deployment of indigenously manufactured heavy slew cranes across major infrastructure and industrial projects in India.

ACE, the world’s largest pick-and-carry crane manufacturer and a leading Indian material handling and construction equipment company, will collaborate with Sanghvi Movers, India’s and Asia’s largest crane rental company and the world’s fifth largest in its segment. The partnership will focus primarily on truck cranes and crawler cranes manufactured in India.

The collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” vision under the “Make in India” initiative. Through medium-term cooperation, the two companies aim to accelerate the adoption of domestically produced heavy lifting equipment, reduce reliance on imports, and strengthen India’s capabilities in the high-capacity crane segment.

Under the MOU, Sanghvi Movers will progressively expand its fleet by inducting heavy cranes manufactured by ACE, supporting domestic manufacturing while enabling faster, more cost-effective, and reliable execution of large-scale projects. ACE, in turn, will provide focused product support, customization, and technical solutions tailored to the evolving needs of India’s infrastructure and industrial sectors.

The companies said the partnership is expected to drive significant import substitution,

strengthen local supply chains, and contribute to employment generation, skill development, and technological advancement. With infrastructure development gaining momentum across the country, the initiative is also expected to support India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for high-capacity lifting solutions.

Commenting on the development, Sorab Agarwal, Executive Director at ACE, said the Indian heavy slew crane market has traditionally depended on imports, and the partnership represents a step towards offering globally competitive indigenous alternatives. He added that the MOU reinforces ACE’s commitment to national capability building and industrial self-reliance.

Rishi C. Sanghvi, Managing Director of Sanghvi Movers, said the collaboration would support sustainable growth by reducing import dependence while improving serviceability and turnaround times. He added that expanding the fleet with domestically manufactured cranes would enhance value creation within India’s economy and support the country’s long-term infrastructure development goals.
