HPL Electric & Power Limited has secured new smart meter orders worth ₹242.24 crore, including taxes, from multiple existing customers, further strengthening its position in India’s fast-growing smart metering segment.
The orders have been awarded by GMR Triveni Smart Meters Limited, GMR Kashi Smart Meters Limited, GMR Agra Smart Meters Limited, Paschimanchal Infrastructure Private Limited and Madhyanchal One Infrastructure Private Limited.
According to the company, the contracts relate to the supply of smart meters and have been received in the normal course of business. The execution will be carried out as per the terms and conditions specified in the respective purchase orders and notifications of award.
The latest order win adds to HPL Electric’s growing smart metering business, which has emerged as a key growth driver amid India’s ongoing power distribution modernisation and smart grid initiatives.
HPL Electric & Power Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of electrical equipment including smart meters, switchgears, LED lighting and other power distribution products.
