Western Carriers (India) Limited has announced the receipt of a significant work order from Shriram Alkali & Chemicals, a unit of DCM Shriram Ltd, for the rake transport of CSL (Caustic Soda Lye) to Vedanta’s Lanjigarh facility. The contract, valued at approximately ₹23 crore, spans a period of one year.
The project involves the domestic logistics and transportation of bulk chemical consignments by rail, strengthening Western Carriers’ presence in the specialized industrial logistics segment. The order is expected to enhance the company’s operational footprint in the chemicals and heavy industries supply chain.

The execution of this order will be completed within the contractual period of 12 months and is expected to contribute positively to the company’s FY26 revenues.
