Cyient DLM, a design-led manufacturing solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies to develop advanced cooling systems for aircraft. Under this 16-year agreement, Cyient DLM will manufacture liquid cooling loops integral to Honeywell’s innovative Micro Vapor Cycle System (Micro VCS), a technology set to redefine aircraft cabin cooling with enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
The Micro VCS technology is a breakthrough in temperature control for aircraft, designed to be up to 35% lighter and 20% more energy-efficient compared to conventional systems with similar cooling capacities. This micro vapor cycle system optimizes aircraft efficiency by reducing weight and fuel consumption, aligning with the industry’s push for sustainable aviation solutions.
Anthony Montalbano, CEO of Cyient DLM, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are honored to collaborate with Honeywell Aerospace Technologies on the Micro VCS project. This alliance combines Honeywell’s aviation technology leadership with Cyient DLM’s manufacturing expertise to bring next-generation cooling technology to market.”
The deal reinforces Cyient DLM’s commitment to advancing aerospace technology while promoting sustainable innovations. Known for its expertise in safety-critical electronics across regulated industries, Cyient DLM has established a strong foothold in the aerospace sector through partnerships with global leaders like Honeywell. This collaboration solidifies its role as a prominent player in shaping the future of aerospace engineering.
