Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) (BSE: 542760, NSE: SWSOLAR), one of India’s leading renewable energy EPC players, has announced a significant milestone with the acquisition of three major domestic projects totaling approximately ₹1,470 crore, including taxes and O&M services. The new orders not only reaffirm SWREL’s stronghold in the solar EPC space but also mark its strategic entry into the wind EPC segment through a hybrid project.
Key Highlights:
- SWREL has secured its first-ever Wind EPC order as part of a hybrid project in Rajasthan.
- The company has been declared L1 (lowest bidder) for a 200 MW AC / 260 MWp DC solar project in Gujarat, awarded by a leading PSU developer.
- It has also received another solar EPC order for a project in Rajasthan from a private Independent Power Producer (IPP).
The hybrid project in Rajasthan will see SWREL undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 69.3 MW wind Balance of Plant (BoP), along with a 58 MW AC / 75 MWp DC solar Balance of System (BoS). The project also includes the development of a 132 kV / 33 kV pooling substation.
In Gujarat, the company has achieved L1 status for a large-scale turnkey solar project from a prominent state-owned developer. Additionally, a separate solar EPC order has been secured from a private IPP for another project located in Rajasthan.
