Steel Strips Wheels Ltd (SSWL) has secured nominations for its steel wheel business from two prominent European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for vehicle programs to be produced in the European Union and South America.
The combined business value of the two projects is estimated at ₹300 crore, to be executed over a period of five years. Series supplies are expected to commence in early calendar year 2027 from SSWL’s Chennai plant.
These contracts mark a strategic step in SSWL’s export growth plan, reducing its dependency on the US market and increasing its footprint in both Europe and South America. The company anticipates additional business from global OEMs as part of its ongoing diversification strategy.
