Sigma Advanced Systems Expands Rolls-Royce Partnership With ₹1,600 Crore Aerospace Agreement

Sigma Advanced Systems Ltd, a defence and aerospace precision engineering company, has secured an additional long-term agreement worth nearly £125 million (approximately ₹1,600 crore) from global aerospace major Rolls-Royce through its recently acquired UK subsidiary, Bromford Precision Solutions.

The agreement, announced on August 25, 2026, comes shortly after Sigma secured another long-term agreement worth around £300 million (approximately ₹3,800 crore) from Rolls-Royce. Taken together, the two agreements are valued at about £425 million, or roughly ₹5,400 crore, significantly expanding Sigma’s long-term business relationship with the aerospace OEM.

The latest contract covers the manufacture of aero-engine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures. Production will be carried out across Sigma’s manufacturing facilities in India and the UK, providing Rolls-Royce with a dual-source supply arrangement.

Bromford acquisition strengthens aerospace capabilities

The new agreement highlights the strategic rationale behind Sigma’s acquisition of Bromford Precision Solutions, a Leicester-based specialist manufacturer of high-precision aerospace components.

Bromford brings capabilities in the manufacture of aero-engine rings and casings, along with advanced precision machining and long-standing approvals from major aerospace original equipment manufacturers.

The acquisition enables Sigma to expand its product portfolio and participate in a broader range of aerospace programmes for existing customers. The company said the combination of Bromford’s UK manufacturing capabilities and its Indian manufacturing network will allow it to offer a more comprehensive supply solution to global OEMs.

The latest agreement also provides long-term visibility for Bromford’s operations in the UK and is expected to support the continuation of skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs at the company’s UK facility.

Rolls-Royce relationship gains scale

Sigma said the two long-term agreements deepen its position within Rolls-Royce’s UK supply chain while increasing its participation in higher-value aerospace programmes.

The company said the Bromford acquisition has enabled it to broaden its addressable opportunity with existing customers by combining specialist manufacturing capabilities with its existing engineering and production network in India.

“Global OEMs like Rolls-Royce are increasingly looking to India not just for cost advantage, but for engineering depth, quality and scale,” Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Sigma Advanced Systems, said.

He added that combining Bromford’s specialist UK capabilities with Sigma’s integrated Indian manufacturing network allows the group to offer a global, dual-source solution to customers.

UK aerospace platform expands

Sigma currently operates two UK aerospace businesses, Nasmyth and Bromford, which the company said are being developed as complementary businesses within its UK aerospace platform.

The company is pursuing a strategy of expanding its international aerospace presence through targeted acquisitions aimed at deepening customer relationships, adding specialised manufacturing capabilities and increasing its participation in long-duration aerospace programmes.

The latest Rolls-Royce agreement marks a significant expansion of this strategy, with the company gaining additional exposure to critical aero-engine components and long-term OEM programmes.
