Shakti Pumps Bags ₹1,037 Crore Order for 34,720 Off-Grid Solar Pumps from MSEDCL

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited (SPIL), one of the country’s leading manufacturers of energy-efficient pumps and motors, has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 34,720 standalone Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra.

 

The total contract value is estimated at ₹1,037 crore (inclusive of GST) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM B scheme, aimed at promoting clean energy adoption in agriculture.

 

As per the empanelment terms, the Letter of Empanelment will remain valid for one year, while installations are to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) or work order. The scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar pumping systems.
