Re Sustainability and Recycling Private Limited (ReSRL), a subsidiary of Re Sustainability Limited (ReSL), has joined hands with Aarti Circularity Limited (ACL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), to establish a first-of-its-kind joint venture in India aimed at transforming plastic recycling.
The newly formed Joint Venture Company (JVCo) will focus on developing Plastic Materials Recycling Facilities (PMRFs) across India, driving sustainable waste management and resource recovery practices.
Revolutionizing Plastic Recycling
The PMRFs will play a pivotal role in segregating, extracting, and recycling various waste streams, particularly plastics, to produce Advanced Circular Materials (ACM). These materials will serve as raw materials, fuels, or recycled polymer feedstock, aligning with India’s broader sustainability goals.
As part of its ambitious vision, the JVCo has set a minimum resource recovery target of 500 tons per day by 2030. The venture will explore multiple feedstocks, including those from ReSL’s core operations, to maximize material and energy circularity.
Hyderabad to Host India’s First Advanced Plastic Recycling Facility
The first Plastic Materials Recycling Facility (PMRF) under this partnership will be established in Hyderabad, Telangana, marking a significant milestone in India’s waste management and recycling infrastructure. This facility is expected to set new benchmarks in sustainable plastic recovery, supporting the circular economy movement and reducing dependency on virgin resources.
