Power Mech Projects Secures ₹551 Crores in Major Thermal Power Plant O&M Contracts

In a significant boost to its power sector portfolio, Power Mech Projects Limited has secured two major domestic contracts worth a combined ₹551.35 crores (excluding taxes and GST). These strategic wins further consolidate the company’s position as a leading provider of comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) solutions for large-scale thermal power infrastructure in India.

The first and larger contract, valued at ₹498.39 crores, has been awarded by SJVN Thermal (P) Limited (STPL) for Commissioning Support and Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of the Coal-Based Supercritical Buxar Thermal Power Project (BTPP) in Chausa, District Buxar, Bihar. The project comprises two 660 MW supercritical units, and Power Mech will be responsible for ensuring efficient commissioning and sustained operational excellence over a 39-month period.

The second contract, worth ₹52.96 crores, has been awarded by Jhabua Power Limited, a joint venture of NTPC Limited, for the O&M of Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) systems at its 1×600 MW thermal unit in Village Barela, Tehsil Ghansore, District Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. The contract is for a three-year period, with a provision for a one-year extension.

Both contracts have been awarded by domestic entities, underscoring the continued trust placed in Power Mech by India’s key public sector players in the energy domain. The engagements cover critical thermal assets and reflect the company’s core expertise in plant commissioning, lifecycle management, and operations optimization.

With these wins, Power Mech Projects Limited strengthens its foothold in India’s thermal energy segment and reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable engineering services to the nation’s power infrastructure.
