Park Medi World Limited (NSE: PARKHOSPS; BSE: 544645), North India’s second-largest hospital chain, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire 100% of the existing shareholding of KP Institute of Medical Sciences (KPIMS), Agra, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately ₹245 crore.
The acquisition covers the businesses of K PS Wellness Private Limited and SVPD Healthcare Private Limited, which together own and operate KPIMS. Upon completion, the target entities will become wholly-owned subsidiaries of Park Medi World Limited. The transaction is expected to be completed by February 28, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, and does not fall under related party transactions. No governmental or regulatory approvals are required.
KPIMS, which commenced operations in 2023, is among the largest healthcare facilities in the Agra region, with a total capacity of 360 beds upon consummation of the acquisition. The NABH-accredited, multi super-specialty hospital offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, supported by advanced diagnostics and inclusion under major insurance providers and government healthcare schemes.
The acquisition aligns with Park Group’s cluster-based growth strategy, aimed at improving operational efficiencies and achieving economies of scale by expanding hospital presence in geographically proximate markets. It also strengthens the Group’s footprint in key urban centres across North India, with Agra identified as a high-potential healthcare market.
Commenting on the acquisition, Dr. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director, Park Medi World Limited, said, “By welcoming KP Institute of Medical Sciences, we take a significant step in expanding our presence in North India while upholding the vision of our Chairman, Dr. Ajit Gupta, of ‘wellness for all’. Agra has a clear need for reliable, high-quality medical services, and we intend to enhance KPIMS’s clinical capabilities, efficiency, and utilisation to deliver modern, patient-focused care. We believe this integration will yield strong operational and financial outcomes.”
Park Group currently operates 14 hospitals with a combined capacity of 3,250 beds across cities including Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat, Ambala, Mohali, Patiala, Bathinda, Behror and Jaipur. In addition to the Agra facility, the Group is in the process of integrating six more hospitals, adding 1,650 beds, which will take its total capacity to 5,260 beds by March 2028.
