Nikita Papers Secures Pollution Control Board Clearance for ₹50 Crore Capacity Expansion

Nikita Papers Limited has received the Consent to Establish (CTE) from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) for a major capacity expansion at its manufacturing facility in C-10, Industrial Estate, Panipat Road, Shamli. The approval, granted under the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, allows the company to significantly enhance production and energy generation capabilities.

Under the expansion plan, the company will increase its Kraft paper manufacturing capacity from 400 tonnes per day (TPD) to 550 TPD, install a 55 TPH multi-fuel boiler, and set up a 9 MW captive power plant (turbine). The CTE, valid from June 6, 2025, to June 5, 2030, is contingent on compliance with applicable environmental standards and regulations.

The estimated project cost of ₹50 crores has been fully allocated from the proceeds of the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO). Construction and commissioning activities are expected to begin shortly, with commercial operations projected to commence within a year from the start of on-site work.
