National Plastic Technologies Ltd. (NPTL) announced that it has received a Letter of Comfort from Hero MotoCorp Ltd for the manufacture and supply of painted and unpainted plastic body parts. The three-year contract carries an estimated annual value of up to ₹52.50 crore, marking a significant milestone for NPTL as it strengthens its presence in the automotive components segment.
As part of the agreement, NPTL will set up a new manufacturing facility at or near Sri City/Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to service Hero MotoCorp’s requirements. The plant is expected to be operational within the next six to eight months. In the interim, NPTL will endeavour to supply components from its existing manufacturing locations to ensure uninterrupted deliveries.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd (CIN: L35911DL1984PLC017354), India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, awarded the domestic contract for the supply of a range of plastic body parts used in its product lineup. The order has no related-party considerations, and the company confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter group hold any interest in the awarding entity.
With steady annual volumes and a long-term commitment from a marquee OEM, the deal is expected to significantly boost NPTL’s revenue visibility while supporting its expansion strategy in southern India.
