MIC Electronics Limited on Tuesday said it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Howrah Division of Eastern Railway, part of Indian Railways, for the supply and installation of Coach Indication Boards (CIB) and Train Indication Boards (TIB) across multiple stations in West Bengal.
The contract is valued at ₹44.5 crore and covers stations including PRGR, SKIP, BZLE, SALE, MGAE, SDI, MRR and RJG under the Howrah division. According to the company, the order was secured through a competitive tendering process and is classified as a domestic direct order. The project is expected to be completed within a period of six months from the date of execution of the agreement.
The deployment of digital indication boards is part of Indian Railways’ ongoing passenger information system upgrade programme, aimed at improving real-time communication, operational efficiency and passenger experience at busy railway stations.
The company said the order further strengthens its position in the railway digital infrastructure segment and adds to its growing order book in public sector transportation projects.
