Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL) has bagged a major order worth ₹639 crore (excluding GST) for the execution of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission line projects on a turnkey EPC basis. The projects are scheduled to be commissioned within 12 to 15 months.
The new order involves the design, supply, and installation of extra high-voltage transmission lines, which are critical for strengthening India’s power evacuation and distribution infrastructure. 765 kV and 400 kV lines are widely used to:
- Enhance Grid Stability: Carry bulk power across long distances with minimal transmission losses, enabling efficient transfer from generation hubs to demand centers.
- Integrate Renewable Energy: Support the evacuation of large-scale solar and wind power projects into the national grid.
- Meet Rising Demand: Provide reliable and high-capacity connectivity for industrial clusters, urban centers, and upcoming smart cities.
- Strengthen Regional Connectivity: Improve inter-state and inter-regional power flow, ensuring balanced supply during peak demand.
By securing this contract, JSL further consolidates its role in India’s transmission and distribution (T&D) sector, contributing to the government’s focus on grid modernization and energy transition.
