John Cockerill India Limited has been awarded a contract valued at around ₹270 crore from JSW JFE Electrical Steel Nashik Private Limited for the supply of critical equipment and services for its upcoming facility in Nashik.
Under the agreement, John Cockerill India will undertake the engineering, design, manufacture, and supply of tunnel furnace equipment, along with the coil handling arrangement. The scope of work also includes supervision of erection and commissioning of the line to ensure performance guarantees are achieved.
The project is expected to be executed by May 2027. Once operational, the tunnel furnaces will form a crucial part of JSW JFE Electrical Steel’s production line, enhancing its capacity to deliver high-quality electrical steel to meet growing domestic demand.
This order highlights John Cockerill India’s strong presence in the industrial equipment and process solutions segment, reinforcing its expertise in delivering large-scale, high-technology systems for the steel industry.
