Indian Emulsifiers Ltd (IEML) has secured two direct export orders worth $700,621 (approximately ₹6.75 crore) from a leading customer in the United States, strengthening its presence in one of its key overseas markets.
The company said the orders, valued at $231,042 (around ₹2.22 crore) and $469,579 (around ₹4.52 crore), will be executed immediately from its manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The identity of the customer has not been disclosed due to confidentiality commitments.
The orders follow the company’s regulatory filing on July 17, when it first informed stock exchanges about the export contracts.
Indian Emulsifiers said the business reflects growing demand for its specialty chemical products in the US and reinforces customer confidence in its manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise. While the current orders have been placed directly with the Indian entity, future supplies to the customer will be routed through Polaris Specialty Chemicals Inc., the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary, once it is capitalised.
The US subsidiary will function as a local distribution and customer support hub. It will import products manufactured by Indian Emulsifiers, handle customs clearance, maintain inventory, deliver products to customers, extend credit facilities and provide local supply chain support.
The company is targeting customers across the oil and gas, food processing, technical textile auxiliaries and water treatment sectors in the US. It expects its direct engagement model to help expand business with American customers and improve responsiveness to local demand.
Indian Emulsifiers manufactures specialty chemicals such as esters, esterquats, polyamides, surfactants, phosphate esters, imidazolines, wax emulsions and specialty emulsifiers. Its products are used in industries including food processing, personal care, textiles, mining, industrial cleaning, metalworking, lubricants and oil and gas.
The company operates a manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 12,000 metric tonnes at MIDC Lote Parshuram in Maharashtra and exports its products to nine countries.
The latest export wins come as Indian specialty chemical manufacturers continue to expand their international footprint by building overseas distribution networks and supplying directly to global customers, reducing reliance on third-party distributors while improving customer service and market access.
