GPT Infraprojects Limited (GPTINFRA), the flagship company of the GPT Group, announced that it has secured a contract worth approximately ₹195 crore (EUR 18.9 million) from Terminal Industriel Polyvalent de San Pedro (TIPSP), Ivory Coast.
The order involves the detailed engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a conveyor belt system as part of the Phase 2 development works connecting SOCIM and TIPSP at the Port of San Pedro. The international contract is expected to be executed within a 12-month period.
This project win marks another significant milestone in GPT Infraprojects’ growing international presence, particularly in Africa, where the company has longstanding operations in railway infrastructure and concrete sleeper manufacturing.
GPT Infraprojects, incorporated in 1980 and headquartered in Kolkata, operates through two core business segments — Infrastructure and Sleeper. The company is an established player in railway-focused civil infrastructure, specializing in the construction of large bridges, road-over-bridges (ROBs), and railway structures. Its sleeper manufacturing units are located in India (Panagarh, West Bengal) and across South Africa, Namibia, and Ghana, making it the only Indian company with a sleeper manufacturing footprint in multiple African countries.
With the new order, GPTINFRA’s outstanding order book stands at ₹4,047.65 crore, while the total order inflow for FY2026 has reached ₹591 crore. The company noted that this international project underscores its engineering capabilities, global competitiveness, and ability to deliver complex infrastructure solutions in overseas markets.
