Goodluck Defence & Aerospace Announces ₹500 Crore Capacity Expansion for Empty Shell Production

Goodluck Defence and Aerospace Limited, a key material subsidiary of Goodluck Enterprises, has announced plans to expand its production capacity for empty shells from 1.5 lakh units to 4 lakh units annually, an increase of 2.5 lakh units, within the next year. The expansion will involve a total investment of approximately ₹500 crore, to be financed through a mix of debt and equity.

The company cited the recent receipt of its commercial production license for empty shells as a key driver for the expansion. Following the license approval, Goodluck Defence and Aerospace has received significant orders and enquiries from clients, creating strong demand that necessitates the increase in production capacity.

The proposed expansion is scheduled to be completed within 12 months, enabling the company to rapidly scale operations and meet both domestic and strategic defense requirements.

KMEW’s latest order underscores its growing role in India’s inland waterways sector, providing high-quality, reliable vessels that support the country’s maritime objectives, while strengthening the company’s commercial shipbuilding business and national infrastructure contribution.
