GHV Infra Projects Limited has announced that its joint venture, GHV Infra Projects – BIL, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for a major riverbank protection project in Assam under a climate resilience initiative supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The contract involves procurement and execution of underwater and above-water riverbank protection works in the Jorhat subproject, covering parts of Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat districts. The project forms part of ADB’s Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project.
Awarded by the Water Resources Department, Assam Water Centre, the work contract is valued at approximately ₹62 crore. The project is to be executed over a period of 30 months.
In a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company stated that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and will be undertaken through its joint venture with BIL.
The project is aimed at strengthening flood management infrastructure and mitigating riverbank erosion in the Brahmaputra basin, which is highly vulnerable to climate-related risks. The order adds to GHV Infra’s growing portfolio of infrastructure projects in the water resources and flood control segment.
