Divgi TorqTransfer Systems Limited has announced that it has received an order confirmation from Toyota Tsusho India Pvt. Ltd. for its transfer case business. Toyota Tsusho India is part of the global Toyota Tsusho Group, and the order marks a significant milestone for Divgi TorqTransfer as its first direct business win from the Japanese conglomerate’s India entity.
The contract involves the supply of a customised transfer case design developed for a commercial pickup truck targeted at both Indian and international markets. The multi-year agreement is expected to generate lifecycle revenue of approximately ₹62 crore and will be executed over six years starting from H1 FY28, following successful product validation and approval.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Jitendra Divgi, Managing Director of Divgi TorqTransfer Systems Limited, said:
“We are honoured to receive this business nomination for our core transfer case. This marks our first business award from Toyota Tsusho India, reflecting their confidence in our latest generation product. This achievement will also open the doors for converting opportunities from other Japanese OEMs into future business nominations for Divgi India.”
He further highlighted that the project involved addressing several technical challenges, including integration of Divgi TTS’s advanced synchronizer technology, compatibility with In-Vehicle Networking (IVN), adherence to stringent Japanese OEM standards for Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH), and ensuring seamless integration with both manual and automatic transmissions.
Mr. Divgi added that the company’s strong technical capabilities have historically enabled it to secure multiple high-value orders, and as the market expands, Divgi TorqTransfer remains well positioned to capture additional opportunities through new customer wins, broader product offerings, improved market share, and enhanced export business.
