Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) has awarded a turnkey contract valued at ₹99.99 crore (inclusive of taxes) for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 kV, 55 sq. mm AAAC Medium Voltage Covered Conductor (MVCC) along with associated accessories.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and pertains to strengthening and upgrading medium-voltage power distribution infrastructure in the region. Under the scope of work, the contractor will execute the project on a complete turnkey basis, covering end-to-end activities from material supply to commissioning.
The execution period for the contract is 18 months from the date of award.
This project is expected to enhance the reliability and safety of the power distribution network in Dakshin Gujarat by reducing outages and improving operational efficiency through the deployment of covered conductor technology.
