Ceigall India Limited on Tuesday said its wholly-owned subsidiary Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a four-lane highway stretch on NH-139W in Bihar under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
The project involves the four-laning of the 78.94-km Sahebganj–Areraj–Bettiah corridor, split into two sections — Sahebganj to Areraj (38.36 km) and Areraj to Bettiah (40.58 km). The construction period is 730 days, followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period.
The highway project strengthens Ceigall’s position in India’s road infrastructure sector, particularly in the eastern region, and adds to its growing portfolio of HAM-based projects.
Separately, Ceigall India also announced that it has secured a major renewable energy order worth approximately ₹1,700 crore from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) for the development of a 220 MW solar power project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.
The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding mechanism at a tariff of ₹2.70 per kWh. The construction period is 24 months, followed by an operational period of 25 years.
The Morena Solar Park project marks Ceigall’s strategic entry into large-scale renewable energy infrastructure and is expected to enhance grid stability through integrated storage solutions, enabling efficient peak power management and improved dispatch reliability.
Commenting on the renewable energy win, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India, said the project aligns with India’s national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity and reinforces the company’s long-term vision of participating in nation-building initiatives across both transportation and energy infrastructure.
With these two back-to-back project awards, Ceigall India significantly strengthens its order book and diversifies its revenue base across highways and clean energy, positioning itself as a key player in India’s infrastructure expansion and energy transition journey.
