AXISCADES Wins ₹223.95 Crore Contract for Heavy-Duty Tank Transporter Trailers

In a boost to indigenous defence manufacturing under the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Private Limited, a wholly- owned subsidiary of AXISCADES, has signed a contract with the Indian Army for the supply of next-generation heavy-duty tank transporter trailers.

The order, valued at ₹223.95 crore, has been awarded by the Directorate General of Capability Development, Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army). Under the agreement, the company will supply 212 units of 50-ton tank transporter trailers over a two-year period.

A 50-ton tank transporter trailer is a specialised heavy-haul vehicle designed to carry armoured tanks, combat vehicles, and other large military equipment weighing up to 50 tonnes. Built with reinforced frames, multi-axle configurations, and advanced suspension systems, these trailers ensure stability and safe transport across varied terrains. They are typically used in combination with powerful prime movers, enabling rapid deployment of heavy armour to operational zones while reducing wear on tracked vehicles

This contract strengthens AXISCADES’ position in the defence mobility solutions segment and supports the Indian Army’s efforts to modernise its heavy equipment transportation capabilities with indigenous solutions.
