Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Private Limited, a material subsidiary of Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited, has been awarded a major solid waste management contract by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) for the development and long-term operation of a mixed solid waste processing facility in Maharashtra.
Under the contract, the company will establish a 600 to 800 tonnes per day (TPD) Mixed Solid Waste Processing Plant on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) basis on TMC-owned land at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi. In addition to setting up the facility, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions will be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the project for a period of 10 years.
The project entails a total capital expenditure of approximately ₹67 crore, which will be reimbursed by TMC upon achievement of predefined milestones as specified in the tender conditions. The overall contract value is estimated at around ₹329.45 crore over the tenure of the agreement.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, Thane Municipal Corporation, and does not fall under related party transactions. The company has clarified that neither the promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in TMC.
This project further strengthens Antony Group’s presence in the municipal solid waste management sector and reinforces its capabilities in executing large-scale, integrated waste processing projects on a long-term DBOT model across urban India.
