Fredun Pharmaceuticals has acquired a 26% stake in Goodman Vetcare Private Limited, a veterinary pharmacy and pet-care retailer, as part of a strategic partnership aimed at expanding its presence in India’s animal-health and pet-care market.
Goodman Vetcare, which has operated since 1989, currently runs three stores across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, including its flagship 24×7 veterinary pharmacy and pet-care store in Parel. The company offers veterinary medicines, pet food, accessories and other pet-care products.
Goodman’s revenue increased from ₹14.1 crore in FY24 to ₹23.6 crore in FY26, representing annual growth of around 30%. The company is targeting revenue of approximately ₹40 crore in FY27 and ₹56 crore in FY28, with a longer-term target of around ₹100 crore by FY31.
As part of its expansion plans, Goodman intends to establish a pan-India presence by opening at least eight new stores across three cities. It also plans to commission a warehouse in a new city during the first half of the expansion year to support inventory availability.
Fredun said the partnership will combine Goodman’s veterinary retail network and category expertise with its own manufacturing capabilities, pet-care brands, technology and business-development capabilities. The companies plan to expand Goodman’s geographical footprint and strengthen its omnichannel operations.
Fredun Pharmaceuticals reported revenue of ₹639.12 crore, EBITDA of ₹94.79 crore and profit after tax of ₹33.21 crore in FY26. The company is engaged in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and animal healthcare products.
