Welspun Enterprises Bags ₹351 Crore Ahmedabad Sewer Rehabilitation Orders

Welspun Enterprises Limited said its material subsidiary Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL) has secured two sewer rehabilitation projects worth an aggregate ₹351.24 crore, including GST, from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The projects, awarded through Letters of Award dated September 18, 2026, are funded by the World Bank and cover rehabilitation of existing sewer lines across the western and eastern parts of Ahmedabad.

The Western Ahmedabad project, valued at ₹229.48 crore, involves rehabilitation of the main trunk sewer line from Gota Lake to the 285 MLD Terminal Sewage Pumping Station (TSPS), covering the stretch from Iskcon Char Rasta to 285 MLD TSPS.

The Eastern Ahmedabad project, valued at ₹121.76 crore, covers sewer rehabilitation across key stretches, including Odhav 310 to Panjrapole Char Rasta to Nirant Cross Road to Mahadev Imperial, as well as the stretch from Metro Pillar No. 99 to Nirant Char Rasta.

Both projects are scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the commencement date.

Welspun Enterprises said the orders increased WMEL’s order book from around ₹2,135 crore as of June 2026 to approximately ₹2,432.66 crore, with the company adding around ₹297.66 crore to its order book excluding GST and provisional sums.

The Western Ahmedabad order is among the larger rehabilitation contracts secured by WMEL through its standalone bidding capacity, according to the company.

Sandeep Garg, Managing Director, Welspun Enterprises, said the orders strengthen WMEL’s presence in specialised urban water and wastewater infrastructure and highlight its capabilities in addressing complex urban infrastructure requirements.
