Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd has commissioned a new greenfield sanitary napkin manufacturing facility at Seetharampur Village in Telangana’s Rangareddy district, marking a ₹150 crore investment aimed at expanding its feminine hygiene manufacturing capacity.
The facility, located in Shabad Mandal around 45 km from Hyderabad, will manufacture sanitary napkins for the company’s Comfy brand. The plant is Amrutanjan Health Care’s fifth manufacturing facility and has been established across 10 acres, with a built-up area of approximately 1.4 lakh sq ft.
The company said the facility has been designed to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and cater to the growing demand for feminine hygiene products across India.
Capacity of 700 million sanitary napkins
The new plant houses two fully automated high-speed production lines sourced from Japan and has a planned annual production capacity of 700 million sanitary napkins. Amrutanjan said the lines are among the fastest sanitary napkin manufacturing facilities in India and can be expanded further based on demand.
The facility combines automated production, precision manufacturing and quality-control systems to support consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
The Telangana plant is strategically located to benefit from Hyderabad’s industrial ecosystem, road connectivity, skilled workforce and access to markets across India, according to the company.
The commissioning of the plant is part of Amrutanjan Health Care’s efforts to build larger and more technology-intensive manufacturing capabilities for its feminine hygiene business. The company said the investment is intended to support the long-term expansion of its Comfy sanitary napkin business.
