Expo Engineering Bags ₹44.67-Crore ONGC Maintenance Contract

Mumbai, June 9: Expo Engineering and Projects Ltd has secured a ₹44.67-crore contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) for the maintenance and inspection of floating roof crude oil storage tanks at the Gandhar Central Processing Facility (CPF) of ONGC’s Ankleshwar Asset.

In a regulatory filing, the company said the work order was received on June 8 from ONGC’s Central Procurement Department in New Delhi in the normal course of business.

The contract, valued at ₹44.66 crore inclusive of 18 per cent GST, involves a rate contract for maintenance and inspection of existing floating roof crude oil storage tanks at the Gandhar facility in Gujarat.

According to the company, the project will be executed over a period of three years from the date of the notice of award.

Expo Engineering said the order was awarded by a domestic entity and clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in ONGC. The contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Expo Engineering and Projects, formerly known as Expo Gas Containers Ltd, provides engineering solutions and executes projects across the oil and gas sector. The company specializes in fabrication, maintenance and inspection services for storage tanks and process equipment.

The latest order is expected to strengthen the company’s order book and deepen its engagement with India’s largest oil and gas producer.

ONGC’s Ankleshwar Asset, one of the company’s major onshore producing assets, includes the Gandhar Central Processing Facility, which handles crude oil and gas production from fields in Gujarat.
