Mumbai, June 3: Effwa Infra & Research Ltd has secured a ₹57.94-crore contract from NMDC Steel Ltd for setting up a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) facility at the company’s integrated steel plant at Nagarnar in Chhattisgarh.
In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, the company said the order involves the installation of dissolved air flotation, pre-treatment and zero liquid discharge systems for the by-product plant and effluent treatment plant (ETP) of the 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) integrated steel facility near Jagdalpur.
The project has been awarded on a turnkey basis and encompasses design and engineering; supply, manufacturing and procurement; assembly, civil works, shop inspection and testing; erection, commissioning and performance guarantee tests for all equipment associated with the treatment systems.
The contract, valued at ₹57.94 crore including taxes, is to be executed within 11 months from the effective date.
Effwa Infra said the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related-party transaction. The company also clarified that neither its promoters nor group companies have any interest in NMDC Steel.
The order further strengthens the company’s presence in the industrial wastewater treatment segment and enhances revenue visibility.
Effwa Infra & Research is an environmental engineering and project management company specialising in effluent and sewage treatment solutions, with a particular focus on zero liquid discharge systems.
