Kesar Petroproducts Begins Trial Production at New Fertiliser Plant in Ratnagiri

Kesar Petroproducts Ltd has commenced trial production at its newly established fertiliser plant in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The plant, with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons, aims to manufacture high-end fertilisers, significantly enhancing the company’s revenue and market presence. Commercial production is expected to begin soon.
 

The new facility will utilise by-products from the company’s pigment plant for fertiliser production, which will, in turn, boost the pigment production capacity of the existing plant.
 

“We are commencing water trials at our fertiliser unit in Ratnagiri and anticipate starting commercial production shortly. This expansion into the fertiliser industry is expected to provide a significant boost to our revenue. We continue to invest in state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and advanced technology to innovate and meet consumer demands while improving profit margins. Expanding Market Presence
 

Kesar Petroproducts is a leading manufacturer of Phthalocyanine Blue Crude and its downstream products in India, accounting for up to 15% of the total Copper Phthalocyanine market in the country. The company reported a turnover of ₹48.72 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2024, and a total turnover of ₹148.89 crore for the financial year 2023-24.
 
Currently, the company produces approximately:
 

  • 600 tons per month of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude
  • 150 tons per month of Alpha Blue
  • 250 tons per month of Beta Blue

With the increased fertiliser production capacity, output is expected to rise to:
 

  • 900 tons per month of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue Crude
  • 200 tons per month of Alpha Blue
  • 300 tons per month of Beta Blue
